Railfest 08

The second photo stop took place just north of Elk Park. Some of us wandered out onto the foot bridge over the Animas. Others headed south to the small pond on the east side of the track. This location is where most of the whistling took place and the water provided some motion for my videos. Here is our mixed train pulled by 315. Again I cheated and this is a reverse shot with the engine working a little harder.



The second train pulled by 480 surprised us with this action as we wait for the presidential special. We spent quite a bit of time at this stop.
